Why are we doing this?

How did we get here?
This property, other than the floodplain, has just about everything you could ever want, a serene-peacefulness, with views, natural water (fishing, kayaking) only steps out your door, horse trail, bike trail, connection to both high schools. It even a direct view to the local 4 th of July fireworks show. I want people to think bigger and longer term when thinking about NEWLOOK's version of “generational homes:”

With new forms, new products, techniques, technologies, natural light, and new ideas about what a home can and should do this for them and their families.

It is not too different from the idea of resort style living or simply loving your house because it has everything (or as much as you can afford) about what you need AND want…

A Generational Home

"I’ve been conceptualizing the idea that this house is a “generational home.” Not only as in, it should be here for generations (given its commercial-style construction methods and materials), but also in that it has so many opportunities to have multiple generations living in it… Although it is set up as a single-family home for now, it could easily be set up to accommodate 2 to even 3 generations by “flexing” some of the spaces to casitas (multiple opportunities), in-law suites, au pair spaces, guest houses, etc.

I want this house to be about community, hopefully not only opening its doors to people to tour / be inspired, but also as an opportunity for fundraising / charity events or even hosting your kids team, club, or group for an end of / mid season get together… That’s why it has been designed so large…

I want all future owners of this house to want to share it…"
